Autumn Inspiration '14

My annual Autumn Inspiration post is always one of my favourites to write. One year on and I'm still in love with burgundy nails, stacks of rings, ankle boots, and any other autumn cliche you can think of. Sorry, not sorry. Just looking at this compilation of images makes me excited for the colder months.

On Sunday I'm heading down to London for what seems to be becoming my traditional trip to LFW. I don't know how long I've spent looking blankly at my wardrobe, but I still don't know what to wear. A wardrobe full of clothes, and nothing to wear. Apologies, this post is just one cliche after another! Sending big love, xo

LFW AW14- People Watching & The Sartorialist

Last Sunday I spent the day in London with my cousin and fellow blogger Jodie. We started the day at Somerset House and managed to kill a good few hours people watching. I met the lovely Jen from A Little Bird Told Me, and spotted Gemma from What's In Her Wardrobe from afar. The highlight of my day has to have been meeting Scot Schuman, a street photographer and creator of The Sartorialist, a blog which is constantly inspiring what I wear.

So here are a few snapshots from my morning- look out for a few pictures from the Topshop Unique show too, they're on their way! I'm still pinching myself and I can't say it enough- if you have a spare day and train tickets are ridiculously priced, then get your butt down to London! We had no plans for the day but just ambled around making it up as we went along, and I can't believe all the people I saw and even got the chance to have conversations with.

Happy Monday, Everyone!

Covent Garden, London

This is the last photo I took whilst in London. I wasn't expecting to take any more, but when I saw these guys walking down a street in Covent Garden I had to grab my camera. They were so cool- they put their shades on and even thought about what they wanted as the backdrop to the image. These are the kind of people I love to photograph.

New Bond Street, London

After yesterday's meeting I headed over to New Bond Street to get some photography, Sartorialist style! I love doing this and really want to do it more often. I love each and every one of these outfits for different reasons- I think they all show great style. One of the reasons I like doing these posts is because everyone likes the images for different reasons.

I love the pink and yellow- great combination! Also love all black with small gold details, simple yet effective.

I LOVE how eclectic and, in my eyes, brave this couple are. The matching KENZO is a fantastic statement.

Again, I love the simplicity and layering of this outfit. The little flash of blue is really pretty too.

The first thing that made me want to photograph these friends was the orange gilet. But when I looked closer at when each girl I loved the coordination of sweater and bag (on the left) and the bright colour popping out from a neutral pallet (on the right).

Let me know what stands out to you from these images in the comments! x
